Staff of the EKU Challenge Course are all skilled individuals who have gone through extensive training in areas such as: group facilitation, equipment inspection and use, structure inspection, safe belay practices, spotting and lifting, high angle rescue, rappelling, climbing, knots, risk management, crisis management, and ethical and legal considerations. All lead staff are certified in First Aid and CPR.

All staff must work with a minimum of 5 groups per year in order to keep their status as lead facilitator and all staff must attend at least two sustainment trainings per year to keep current with industry standards.
