Cancellation of Scheduled Events
If you must cancel your meeting or event, please contact us (e-mail preferred) at least five (5) business days before the scheduled date(s). Otherwise, you will be subject to a 50 % cancellation fee. Please note that it is sometimes necessary to close or delay operations of Eastern Kentucky University or cancel academic or non-academic classes and campus activities due to inclement weather or other emergencies. Therefore, in the event of inclement weather or other emergency conditions, including but not limited to extreme hot or cold conditions caused by inoperable heating and air conditioning systems, and interruptions in electricity and water service, the University reserves the right to cancel any academic or non-academic classes and activities. In the event of campus-wide delays or closings due to inclement weather, EKU Conferencing & Events will attempt to remain open to service contracted events, but cannot guarantee. If there is inclement weather and you believe your event may be cancelled by the University, Conferencing & Events or by the Event Sponsor due to inclement weather or other emergency conditions an alternate date based upon availability will be arranged.
