Fort Knox Campus Degree Programs

The Fort Knox Campus offers courses leading to degrees in the following areas:

Criminal Justice (B.S. degree program) and Police Studies (B.S. and A.A. degree programs).

In addition to our Criminal Justice and Police Studies degree programs, we offer online a Bachelor of Science degree program in Correctional and Juvenile Justice Studies. Visit www.corrections.eku.edu and contact the Online Program Coordinator for additional details.

Course Fees

By registering for classes, you assume responsibility for tuition, fees, and other charges. You will continue to be responsible, whether or not you ever attend classes, unless you remove your registration. If you need assistance to remove your registration, please call the Registrar’s Office toll free: 1-800-465-9191, ext. 2330. The fee for full-time students (resident undergraduates taking 12 credit hours or more a semester) is $2,841.00. The fee for part-time students (resident undergraduates taking fewer than 12 credit hours a semester) is $237.00 per credit hour

Course Withdrawal Procedure and Refunding Policy

Students who find it necessary to withdraw from courses must do so online via EKUDirect on the EKU homepage at www.eku.edu, or by written request to: Eastern Kentucky University, Office of the Registrar, SSB CPO 58, 521 Lancaster Avenue, Richmond, KY 40475-3158. The withdrawal will be effective as of the postmark date on the letter. Any refund due will be calculated as of the withdrawal effective date.

When a student officially withdraws from the University or from any course, or courses, tuition and fees will be adjusted in the following manner:

Last day to ADD or DROP a class.
First 8-Week Partial Term
Last day for 100% tuition refund.

Last day for 75% tuition refund.

Last day for 50% tuition refund.

Last day for 25% tuition refund.

Last day to WITHDRAW from class.

Order your textbooks by calling the EKU Bookstore, toll-free: 1-800-465-9191, ext. 2696. All major credit cards are accepted. The EKU Bookstore is closed on Sunday and holidays.

Academic Calendar

November 13
Registration begins for Spring 2008 classes. See EKU web site www.eku.edu (Schedule of Classes/Colonel’s Compass/Registration/Advising Dates) for registration schedule.

January 14
Classes begin. Late Fee Registration begins. All students not currently enrolled (having 0.0 credit hours), who register for classes as of today will be assessed a $50.00 late registration fee.

January 21
Holiday – Martin Luther King Jr. Day. University is closed and classes are not in session.

March 10-14
SPRING BREAK – University offices open.

March 17
Classes resume.

April 2
Registration begins for Summer and Fall 2008. Refer to 2007/08 Colonel’s Compass for schedule.

April 28
Last day for undergraduates to apply for December 2008 graduation.

May 8
Classes and final exams end.

May 10
Commencement exercises 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. See Graduation Information web page for details: www.eku.edu (from Quick Links select Graduation Information).

May 13
Final grade reports for students available online (EKUDirect/Student Records/Official Grade Report).

May 19
Summer Session begins. See Colonel’s Compass (www.eku.edu) for details.
