The Lancaster Higher Education Center (LHEC) is a partnership between Eastern Kentucky University and the Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC). LHEC opened in August 2006 and began offering undergraduate and graduate classes for both EKU and BCTC. With the goal of excellent student services no matter what institution is offering the class, this site offers a model for collaboration.

The Center serves both traditional (ages 18 – 24) and non-traditional students from Garrard and surrounding counties. Most of our students live at home and have full or part-time jobs. Classes are offered morning, afternoons, or evenings to fit your lifestyle.

Our facility provides convenient scheduling, affordable access to both EKU and BCTC classes, and a high speed Internet system that links our students to EKU’s John Grant Crabbe Library and BCTC’s Learning Resource Center, expanding the basic reference book collection on site.
