The EKU Manchester Regional Campus will encompass services from credit and non-credit programming, adult education including GED classes, community and workforce education, and conferencing and events.  The building is expected to open in spring 2009.  The 48,636-square-foot facility will consist of three floors housing a computer lab, wet and dry science labs, numerous lecture classrooms, five Interactive TV (ITV) rooms, seventeen offices, bookstore, and a 5,200 square foot meeting/multi-purpose space.  EKU Manchester will be able to plan and coordinate campus facilities and services for conferences, workshops, seminars, fairs, expositions, banquets, receptions, camps, and much more.  The facility will offer your group the ambiance of an academic setting with all the amenities of a full service conference center.  This structure will enable the expansion of numerous post secondary and lifelong learning possibilities for the citizens of Clay County and the entire region.

Manchester Ground Breaking, October 17, 2007

A significant milestone for EKU and Clay County occurred on Wednesday, October 17, 2007.  The ground breaking for the new EKU Manchester Campus structure was held approximately ½ mile from the current location.  Roughly 250 people attended the event including numerous EKU Administrators and staff, state and local officials and local citizens.  Remarks were given by EKU Manchester Director Terry Gray, EKU professor of Sociology Aaron Thompson, EKU President Doug Whitlock, State Representative (90th) Tim Couch, State Senator (25th) Robert Stivers, and Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher.
