What is Social Intelligence?
Social Intelligence is the ability to initiate and maintain positive relationships with others over time whether they be a friend, colleague, family member, or significant other. It involves the utilization of proper nonverbal skills such as body movement and placement, proper facial expression, and timing. It also necessitates proper verbal skills such as voice tone, volume, pitch, as well as appropriate verbal strategies such as being responsive, assertive, empathic, or genuine.

The interpersonal communications, social and “political” skills that can be acquired by participating in the events scheduled this fall and spring are absolutely critical for success in any venture or organization.
