APICS CPIM Certification Preparation CoursesCPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) CPIM provides training to manufacturing professionals on essential terminology, concepts, and strategies related to demand management, procurement and supplier planning, material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning, sales and operations planning, master scheduling, performance measurements, supplier relationships, quality control, and continuous improvement. The completion of these five modules and passing the APICS certification test results in the nationally recognized CPIM certification. (Note: EKU does not provide official APICS certification.) Upon completion of each module, participants will be given a certificate of completion. The modules in the CPIM certification are:
Examines basic concepts in managing the flow of materials in a supply chain. Course topics include: Elements of the Supply Chain Course topics include: Centers on the importance of producing achievable master schedules that are consistent with business policies, objectives, and resource constraints. Examines the various techniques used for material and capacity scheduling. Course topics include: Recognizing Techniques and Practices of Inventory Management
Explains techniques for scheduling and controlling production processes, the execution of quality initiatives and continuous improvement plans, and the control and handling of inventories. Topics include: Prioritizing and Sequencing Work

About the InstructorMr. Ted Lloyd is the founder of TJ Production Solutions, which formed 12 years ago specializing in production line layouts, WIP reduction and concepts of visual factories. Ted has been conducting technical training and APICS certification review course education for the last 12 years within the Central Kentucky area. He has been employed by Eastern Kentucky University’s Department of Technology for the last 20 years teaching courses in Production Planning, Motion and Time Studies, Facility Planning and Logistic Simulations. Ted served on the APICS National Board of Directors as the Region 12 Vice-President for two years. Prior to joining the faculty at EKU he worked for The Heil Company as a project manager.
